Malani Missir R.Kin
A proud member of the Ontario Kinesiology Association and a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario, Malani Missir, brings over 25 years of experience in chronic disease management, cardiac rehabilitation, and vascular rehabilitation. As an educator and health promoter, she delivers engaging sessions on topics such as exercise and dietary guidelines, stress management techniques, body composition analysis, risk factor modification, and healthy sleep practices. She collaborates extensively with allied health professionals to design and implement comprehensive health programs that address both the physical and psychosocial dimensions of wellness. Saira Batasar-Johnie RSW
Saira Batasar-Johnie locates herself as a brown, Indo-Caribbean Canadian cisgender woman of Indo-Caribbean/South Asian Indian descent and 1st generation settler in T’karonto/Toronto, Ontario situated on the territory of the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas of the New Credit and Haudenosaunee Peoples, with recognition to “The Dish With One Spoon” wampum and Treaty 13.
Saira’s parents were immigrants escaping violence, oppression and poverty in Guyana and Trinidad. Saira is an author, Child and Youth Care Practitioner, and Registered Social Worker, who currently works in post-secondary as a Student Affairs Coordinator and Part-time Professor across the GTA.
She is also a mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Saira is passionate about bringing the history of Indo-Caribbeans to the newest diaspora of young people. She hopes to educate young people with her words, her book “Dear Divya” is the first of many and she hopes to inspire them to continue their journey of understanding themselves in this world.

Janvi is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist and has her Bachelors of Science Specializing in Kinesiology and Health Science. Sabrina founded The Health Spot Family Wellness in October 2023 after two years of planning and four years of dreaming. With over 20 years in the medical and wellness industry, including experience in a doctor’s office, various MVA clinics and transitioning to a women’s and pregnancy clinic, she recognized a gap in family-centered care. This realization drove her to take the leap and create an all-inclusive, welcoming space that represents her Indo-Caribbean heritage and embraces diversity across cultures, ethnicities, races, and religions.
As a DONA Certified Postpartum Doula and CAPPA-trained childbirth and lactation educator, Sabrina is dedicated to virtually helping families navigate the challenges of early parenthood. She provides a non-judgmental space for new mothers to achieve their parenting goals and is passionate about educating others on the benefits of doula services, particularly for newborns and children.
